  • Apparently the subject of retiree badges was discussed at the last SAC meeting in the context of having the retiree's OIG badge altered by stamping or marking it "Retired" (or something similar) and given to the retiree. This would have no connection with the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act but would be somewhat like what is done now, except that the badge would be separate and would not be encased in a frame.
