William "Bill" Burke - North Atlantic Region

William Burke of Valley Cottage passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 21, 2013. He was 82. Bill was born in the Bronx and was a resident of Valley Cottage for over 50 years. He was a retired NYC Police Captain and went on to a successful career with USDA, Office of Inspector General. He proudly served as a Marine in the Korean War. Bill was predeceased by the woman he adored, his wife, Alice. He was also predeceased by his beloved daughter, Deborah Quinn. Bill is survived by his deeply loved sons, Bill Burke and his wife Theresa, Jim Burke and his wife Tricia, Anthony Burke, and his beloved daughters, Mary Burke and Elizabeth Burke-McNutt and her husband Peter. Bill is also survived by his six cherished grandchildren, Catherine, Tommy, Jim and his wife Megan, Will and his fiance Candace, Meghan, and Patrick.

Bill was greatly loved and his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
