Retired Special Agent Ed Deyo, SER, Raleigh suboffice, passed away December 30, 2023. The following is the obituary from the funeral home:

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edmund B. Deyo Jr. of Cary, North Carolina, born in Sylvania, Georgia, who passed away on December 30, 2023 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edmund B. Deyo Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mock Deyo and Ed Deyo, Sr.; his mother-in-law Pauline Bragg (Sam) of Hiltonia, GA; and his niece Danielle Lariscy of Sylvania, GA.. He is survived by: his wife Bunie Northcutt Deyo of Cary; his sons, Eddie Deyo (Misty) of Wake Forest, NC and Scott Deyo (Shalena) of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Scott-Alan, Joseph, Kaitlynn, Evan and Claire; his sister Diana Deyo Robinson (Arthur Willett) of Sylvania, GA; and his niece Darlette Perkins (Anthony) of Sylvania, GA. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, NC 27511). A reception will be held on Wednesday, January 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Dementia Society of America.
