Retired Special Agent Tom Wallace of the Dallas, TX, Suboffice passed away December 8, 2007.

The following is his obituary from the Fort Worth Star Telegram:

  • Thomas E. Wallace, 75, was called home to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007.

    Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Retta Baptist Church, 13201 Rendon Road, Burleson.

    Tom was born Jan. 21, 1932, in St. Joseph, Mo. He and wife, Wanda, and their two sons moved to the Mansfield area in 1969. After 30 years of service with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Tom retired in 1992, as a special agent for the office of Inspector General. He and Wanda were active members of Retta Baptist Church for many years.

    At Thomas' request, his body was donated to the UT-Southwestern Medical Center Willed Body Program.

    Tom was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

    Survivors: Wife, Wanda; sons, Allen of Nederland and William Curtis; daughter-in-law, Mary; beloved grandson, Zachary, all of Mansfield; sister, Charlene Deatherage of Weatherly, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family, the Hendersons, Charles, Mary and Jacob, who he considered his adopted children.
