Lorell Albert Traylor

Lorell "Al" Traylor passed away January 19, 2019. Al was the USDA OIG-Audit rep at the FLETC from about 1980 to 1985, and retired from HQ as a Deputy Division Director (GM- 14) in approximately 1988. Al was very instrumental in the development of the FLETC Computer Training Programs for Investigators.

  • On January 19, 2019, Lorell Albert Traylor, Jr. (Al) of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord at age 82. Al was born to Lorell Albert Traylor, Sr. and Virginia Cullen Traylor. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Vera Hadley Traylor and daughter Teresa Traylor Neer. He is preceded in death by daughter Diane Marie Traylor. He also leaves behind two grandsons Kevin and Brian Neer in addition to multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Al was an Internal Auditor with the US Office of the Inspector General for over 30 years. He also spent 5 years instructing students in the investigation of white-collar crime at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, Georgia. Al and his wife moved to Jacksonville in 2003 and made Mandarin United Methodist Church their church home. He loved God and could regularly be found in church and studying his Bible.

    A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 am at the Mandarin United Methodist Church located at 11270 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville followed by a reception in the church hall. Viewing will be from 10:00-10:45 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Mandarin United Methodist Church.
