Floyd Grimland, retired Supervisory Special Agent, Southwest Region, Temple, TX, passed away September 24, 2019 in Caldwell, TX.

Floyd came to OIG from the AMS warehouse inspection division shortly after OIG-USDA was formed. He served his whole career in the Southwest Regional office retiring in 1987. The left photo is his 1982 credential photo.

  • Services for Floyd Dwaine Grimland, 86, of Troy, TX will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Olaf Rock Church in Cranfills Gap, TX.

    Burial will be in Saint Olaf Rock Church cemetery.

    Mr. Grimland died Tuesday, Sept. 24, in Caldwell.

    He was born Jan. 7, 1933, in Cranfills Gap to Belfred and Clara Honea Grimland. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Aggie class of ’54.

    He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Eddie Mae Grimland; and a son, Bruce Grimland.

    He is survived by his daughters; Tracy Moore, and Linda Hesseltine and husband Albert, sister, Lorean Davis, grandchildren; Eddie Hesseltine, Michael Hesseltine, Darrell Hesseltine, Robert Hesseltine, Randall Moore, and Brittany Grimland. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

    Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Friday at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
